Afghanistan and West Indies are currently in the tight schedule and both of them are in India for a complete tournament. The competition started with the ODI series and West Indies whitewashed Afghanistan there. Now, they are playing the three matches T20I series. Already two matches have finished and according to the report, Afghanistan beat West Indies by 41 runs in Azizi Bank T20I Cup.
After whitewashing the Afghan team in the ODI series, the Windies team thought to beat them in the T20I series as well. But, Afghanistan is quite brilliant in the T20I format. Still, West Indies beat them in the first T20I and started the dream of whitewashing them in the T20I series as well. But, team Afghanistan turned around in the 2nd T20I and beat West Indies. So, now the T20I series has come to an even by a 1 – 1. The 3rd match will be the trophy fixer match.

Earlier today at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow the 2nd T20I between Afghanistan and West Indies took place. The team of Rashid Khan won the toss and decided to bat first.
Hazratullah Zazai and the wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz opened the innings for Afghanistan and jointly added 42 runs. In the 42 runs, both openers were taken by the Windies bowlers. Most of the players scored a little bit runs in the match. The highest scorer for the Afghani team was Karim Janat who added 26 runs so far. By losing 7 wickets, Afghanistan scored 147 runs in 20 overs. Kesrick Williams took three wickets where Jason Holder and Keemo Paul took two wickets each for West Indies.

Later, West Indies came to chase 147 runs. King and Evin Lewis started to chase for West Indies but in 17 runs opener King was gone. He added only 12 runs. After 17 runs, the 2nd wicket Hetmyer was gone as well. West Indies batsmen could not make any long innings enough to beat Afghanistan but lost wickets in a regular gap. The top scorer for the team was Denesh Ramdin who scored 24 runs so far. They also played complete 20 overs but could not chase it. Losing 8 wickets, their innings have been finished scoring 106 runs so far. Karim Janat took the highest five wickets for Afghanistan.
