It is not actually a surprising fact. The Tigers are the far better team than Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. But, in T20I, they are a bit weak. Earlier today, they were about to lose the match against Zimbabwe but based on the amazing performance of Mosaddek Hossain and Afif Hossain, the Tigers returned to the game.

However, before the official tournament started, team Zimbabwe has played a warm-up match against Bangladesh Cricket Board XI. And the guest team won by 7 wickets so far. Now, earlier today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh started the Tri-Nation series by facing Zimbabwe. The Tigers won the toss and decided to field first. Due to the rain, the match was reduced to 18 overs per side.

Later, Burl and Mutombodzi led the team to a good total. Burl scored 57 runs and Mutombodzi added 27 runs so far. In 18 overs, Zimbabwe presented 144 runs in front of the local team. The Tigers bowlers Shakib Al Hasan was too expensive in that day and he could not do better with the bat as well.

In 60 runs, Bangladesh lost six wickets and the match was about to get out from the hand. In that crucial moment, Mosaddek and Afif made a good partnership and jointly led the team to 142 runs. In the meantime, Afif made an amazing score. He faced 26 balls and scored 52 runs so far. Finally, in 17.4 overs, the Tigers found the victory.
