France stumbled against Turkey at the home venue

France, the current FIFA World Cup champion was defeated at the home venue of Turkey earlier in the first leg of the 2020 UEFA Euro qualifying. They wanted to take the proper revenge at their home venue against Turkey. Earlier today, France got them at the Stade de France, Paris but failed to take the revenge. The current World Cup champion France stumbled against Turkey at the home venue!

If we consider the strongest teams in the football World recent time, France is one of the few teams no offence. As the most decorated and balanced team, they won the 2018 Russia World Cup by defeating Croatia in the final. As one of the few favourites, they have started the 2020 UFA Euro qualifying round but the injury is with the squad. A number of top-rated players could not take part in the qualifying round for injury problems. Their top-star Kylian Mbappe is one of them.

France and Turkey are placed into the group H but playing eight rounds, no one has confirmed their place into the next round. Both Turkey and France played the eight rounds in the qualifying phase. Both of them gathered the highest 19 points each but considering the head to head battle, Turkey is holding the top position and France is standing on the 2nd position. Earlier today in Paris, they faced each other for the 2nd time in the qualifying round and the match ended with a 1 – 1 goal draw.

The apprentices of Deschamps was ahead of the guest team in the first half considering the attacking numbers and ball possession but the forwards of the team could not make any clear attack. In the 76th minute, through the goal of Giroud, France went ahead. From the cross of Antoine Griezmann, the Blues forward found the net through the head. The guest team did not take much time to return to the game. In the 81st minute, Ayhan led Turkey returned to the game.

France has still two matches in hand in the 2020 UEFA Euro qualifying phase and they will play their next match against Moldova on 14th November 2019.
