Italy confirmed their place into the main round of the UEFA Euro 2020

Team Italy is one of the big teams in the football World as one of the most successful teams which won the FIFA World Cup a number of times. But the most shocking fact is that they failed to qualify for the last Russia World Cup 2018 and so, excluding them, 2018 World Cup took place. It is certain that the fans of the team missed them very badly in the World Cup 2018. Now, team Italy is taking part in the 2020 UEFA Euro qualifying round and as the first team of the group J, Italy confirmed their place into the main round of the UEFA Euro 2020!

Group J consists of six teams where team Italy is holding the top position after the end of the 7th round. They have won all seven matches in the qualifying round and achieved the highest 21 points so far. The nearest member is Finland with 12 points. Earlier today, team Italy played the 7th round and the match was against Greece. Team Greece visited Italy earlier today and faced a defeat. It was the 2nd leg between these two teams in the qualifying round and in the first leg, Italy visited Greece and won by a 3 – 0 goal. Now, once again, they won the 2nd leg and at the home venue, Italy beat Greece by a 2 – 0 goal.

By winning the match, Italy has confirmed the ticket of the main event of the UEFA Euro 2020. So, they did not let the chance slip away but beating Greece at their home venue, the former Euro champion has secured their place.

At the Stadio Olimpico, Rome earlier today, the match of group J between Italy and Greece took place. By winning the 7th round consecutively in the qualifying round, Italy has confirmed their place as the first team from their group. Since the very beginning of the match, Italy was so colourful.

They made the balanced attacks by possessing the ball most of the time and their ways were too effective. But every time, they could not bring the finish successfully and in that case, all the credits went to the ice defence of the team Greece. In the 63rd minute of the game, Italy found the net. They got a penalty and from the successful spot-kick, Jorginho who is a Brazilian by birth found the net. In the 78th minute of the game, Bernardeschi made the goal difference double and Italy took control of the game.
