Jamaica Tallawahs’s CPL 2019 journey has finished

Caribbean Premier League is one of the best T20 league cricket competitions in the cricket World right now. They have already passed a total of six seasons successful where they started the journey with the five founding members as well as franchise teams. Now, the franchise teams have been expanded to six. Jamaica Tallawahs is very popular and one of the most successful teams in the CPL if we consider the title-winning fact. The franchise team won a total of two Caribbean Premier League titles including the very first season. But from the last two seasons, they are passing a very bad time and their bad performance is continuing in the current season. The 7th episode of the CPL is running and according to the report, Jamaica Tallawahs’s CPL 2019 journey has finished.

For the last two season, the founding member of CPL Jamaica Tallawahs achieved the 4th position and now this time, their position has been demoted. As the first team in the CPL 2019, they have lost their place. They could not qualify for the next round which is the playoff. Like all the franchise teams, the team of Jamaica has played a total of ten group stage matches but managed only two victories. They have been defeated the rest eight matches. For the poor result, they have got no chance of moving into the next round.

The franchise team of Jamaica is led by Chadwick Walton and they have a number of top-rated and destructive players. They have one of the best T20 experts in the squad named Chris Gayle along with Andre Russell. Besides, Zahir Khan, Rovman Powell, Dwayne Smith and some other reputed players are in the squad. But still, they have consecutively presented some worst performance on the ground.

If we look at the two matches which won by Jamaica Tallawahs in the season, they won against the same opponents twice times. The team is Barbados Tridents. In their first meeting, Jamaica won by 4 wickets and in their 2nd meeting, the team of Gayle won by 5 runs so far.

Earlier today, Jamaica Tallawahs played their last group stage match and it was against the top position holder team Guyana Amazon Warriors. The team of Guyana won the toss and decided to bat first. Based on some amazing batting of Shoaib Malik and Sherfane Rutherford, Guyana scored 156 runs in exchange for six wickets. Shoaib scored the highest 73 runs in 45 balls. Jamaica Tallawahs could not chase the score but their innings was finished scoring 79 runs in 16.3 overs. Liton added the highest 21 runs so far.
