Leipzig-Atalanta moved to the Champions League last eight

Like the first leg, the Spurs have faced the defeat in the 2nd leg as well. On the other side, Atalanta has defeated the Spanish side Valencia in the 2nd leg of the UCL round of the last sixteen earlier today. By winning the 2nd leg, Leipzig-Atalanta moved to the Champions League last eight.

The Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho failed to show another magic earlier today against the German club Leipzig in the Champions League. As a result, his team’s journey in the Champions League has finished. The last UCL runners-up Tottenham Hotspur has been ruled out from the UCL this time. After facing the defeat at their home venue, the task was so difficult for the Spurs. Due to the injury problem, they lost most of their top-rated players. So, they could not get many benefits from the field.

At the home venue of the German club Red Bull Arena, earlier today RB Leipzig played against Tottenham Hotspur. The local team won by a 3 – 0 goal. Besides, the Italian club Atalanta won the seven goals match against Valencia. The game between Atalanta and Valencia ended with a 4 – 3 goals in the 2nd leg. For the Italian club, all four goals were scored by Josip Ilicic.

At the home venue of the German club, RB Leipzig scored two goals at the beginning and took control of the game. Both goals were scored by Marcel Sabitzer.

In the 10th minute of the game, from the 22nd yards, the Austrian forward Sabitzer found the net. The Tottenham stopper could do better than that. In the 21st minute, the same Austrian forward made the head and it was touched by the Spurs goalkeeper but did not change the path but went to the net. In the 87th minute of the game, the substitute player Forsberg made the scoreline 3 – 0. In the first leg, at the venue of Tottenham Hotspur, the German team Leipzig won by a 1 – 0 goal. So, considering the two legs, they have got the ticket for the next round of the UCL with the 4 – 0 goal aggregation.

At the venue of Valencia, in the 3rd minute of the game, through the successful spot-kick, Ilicic led the team Atalanta ahead. In the 21st minute, Kevin Gameiro scored the 1st goal for Valencia. From the 2nd penalty, Ilicic once again led the team ahead. Fro the 2nd time, in the 51st minute, Gameiro led the local team returned to the gam. In the 67th minute, for the first time, Valencia went ahead. But later, Ilicic presented his magic. Within just nine minutes, he scored two goals and led the team to victory.
