The Argentine legend has won the highest 6th Ballon d’Or in his professional career. Till today, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi won the award five times each. Now, LM10 has overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo once again. Like as usual, Lionel Messi passed an amazing season. He led the Catalan club to the league title and also led the team to the Champions League semi-final and Copa del Rey final. If we look to his individual career, the Barca captain was much better. In La Liga, he scored the highest 36 goals and won the Pichichi Trophy and European Golden Shoe. In the Champions League, he scored the highest 12 goals so far.
Considering the club and national team, the Argentine captain Messi played a total of 58 matches and scored 54 goals so far. Though wearing the national shirt, he could not pass the brilliant season. In the Copa America 2019, his team played semi-final but against the host team Brazil, they faced a defeat. In the whole tournament, he was not perfect but it could not stop him to get the Ballon d’Or.
