After the 0 – 0 first half when the Reds were clearly ahead of the local team considering the ball possession. Though Watford took more shots than the Reds in the meantime. But both teams failed to keep their shots on target. In the 19th minute, Mohamed Salah took the shot and it went outside of the box. In the additional minutes of the first half, Watford got the golden chance but Deeney missed it. The Reds goalkeeper Alisson stopped the shot but failed to clear the ball. Deeney’s first try was stopped by the goalkeeper and his 2nd shot went outside.

In the 54th minute of the game, Watford which team failed to get the victory in their last five matches went ahead. From the throw-in, Doucoure got the ball and made the cutback. With an amazing finishing touch, Sarr scored the first goal. Six minutes later, Sarr increased the goal difference.
