The arrival of Kalidou Koulibaly at Anfield is expected to offset the departure of Cameroonian Joel Matip, who is now Jurgen Klopp’s first choice with Van Dijk when fit.
Liverpool fans are expected to be eager to see their defense reunited with the 28-year-old after the Senegalese star’s excellent work in Italy. The former Genk star has become one of the best central defenders in the world since 2014 when he moved from Napoli to Napoli, where he played 233 times.
Finally, it is believed Koulibaly himself wants an exit, and his club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has expressed his view of leaving the club.
