Men in Blues secured the T20I series against West Indies

India cricket team could not finish the recently finished ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as expected or we can say they have failed to fill up the expectation of their fans. Being the most powerful and potential cricket team in the England World Cup, they could not qualify to the final but faced the defeat against the Black Caps in the semi-final. Indian skipper Virat Kohli wanted a 2nd chance which means the 2nd playoff just like the IPL after the miserable defeat in the tournament. Now, they are visiting the West Indies for a complete dual tournament against the host nation. The tournament has started with the T20I series consists of three matches and by winning the first two matches consecutively, Men in Blues secured the T20I series against West Indies.

The whole series consists of T20I, ODI and Test series and started with the T20I tournament. Virat Kohli is the T20I skipper of the Indian national team just like ODI and Test. In the 3rd August 2019, the inaugural T20I competition started between the host nation West Indies and India.

At the Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, Florida the first T20I took place where India won the toss and decided to bowl first. The home team got out so early by scoring just 95 runs in 20 overs. Pollard scored the highest 49 runs in 49 balls. Saini took three wickets highest for India. In return, India also stumbled in the beginning. To reach the destination, they lost six wickets. In 17.2 overs, India chased the score successfully.

The home team West Indies had a chance of winning the rest two matches and won the series but in the 2nd T20I, the same Windies have been seen.

Earlier today, the 2nd T20I between them took place and the same venue has hosted the match in Florida. Once again India won the toss but this time they decided to bat first. Sharma and Dhawan made a good start and also captain of the team Virat added 28 runs though the highest scorer was Rohit Sharma who added 67 runs in 51 balls. In 20 overs, the guest team scored 167 runs in exchange for five wickets.

In return, West Indies came to chase the score but in just 8 runs, top two wickets were gone. Powell scored 54 runs highest. They played 15.3 overs and scored 98 runs by losing 4 wickets. They the match was affected by the rain and so, D/L method was applied. And India won by 22 runs.
