Like most of the countries in the world, the newborn Coronavirus disease COVID-19 is spreading in England as well. So, the English football federation has postponed all of their competitive league matches until the 3rd of April 2020. But the most shocking news is that the Premier League club Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has been infected by COVID-19.

Earlier yesterday, the news came to the front. So, they have taken the instant decision back then. Their next match against Brighton & Hove Albion which was about to take place next Saturday was canceled. Later, through their official website, the Premier League officials have postponed all their matches till the next 3rd April. After that, through a meeting, they will reveal their next plan.

One of the Big Six clubs Arsenal which team is also known as the Gunners have closed their training ground already. At the same time, all of the staff and players who went too close to the Gunners boss Mikel Arteta have gone to the self-quarantine on their own.


The 37 years old young Arsenal manager who just joined at the Emirates Stadium as the manager in last December 2019 wants to return to the ground after recovering from the COVID-19. The Spanish former professional football player once played for the Gunners in his professional career. After sacking Unai Emery, the Premier League club Arsenal has appointed him as the manager of the club.

After confirming his Coronavirus disease, the 37 years old has become so disappointed. He felt sick and so, went for the test. Now, when the club will give him permission, he will start his work with the club. The Gunners officials thought that including the full squad, the staff and those who were too close with the Gunners manager for the last few days will make themselves as self-quarantine.

After getting the confirmation of the presence of the Coronavirus into the body of the Gunners manager Arteta, Brighton & Hove Albion has postponed their match against the Gunners in the Premier League through a press release. After making the emergency meeting earlier today, the Premier League officials announced of suspending all the matches until further notice, BBC has made the report. 

Besides, the other Premier League club Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi has also been infected by the Coronavirus, earlier today the club confirmed the news. Besides, three Leicester City players have quarantined themselves because they are feeling some obvious symptoms of the disease.
