The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 journey is not going well for the Asian superpower Pakistan. They faced the defeat in the inaugural match against West Indies. It was the worst experience for the Green Army in the World Cup. They faced batting disaster against the Windies. However, the Shaheens turned around in the 2nd match and beat the local team England by 14 runs. The 3rd match against Sri Lanka was abandoned due to the bad weather. Now, Pakistan faced 2nd defeat in the World Cup 2019! This time, the current World champion Australia beat the Shaheens by 41 runs.

The team of Pakistan is full of young talent right now. Under the guidance of Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik is the oldest member of the team. So, they are now gathering experience on the International ground. But as the young talent, team Pakistan is doing good.

Hopefully, within a very short time, they would gain their former fame. But, it would not possible in the ongoing World Cup 2019 it seems. It is also true that Pakistan is an unpredictable team and they can do anything in their day. On the 12th June 2019 at the County Ground, Taunton Australia faced Pakistan where the Green Army won the toss and let team Aussie bat first.

Finch and Warner made a good start for Australia and jointly added 146 runs to the scoreboard. Finch was gone with 82 runs and Warner made an amazing century. Rest players could not add many runs. In 49 overs, team Australia lost all wickets and scored 307 runs so far. Mohammad Amir took five wickets for Pakistan and it is the very first time in his professional career to get five wickets in ODI.

Later, Imam and Fakhar started to chase for the Green Army but in 2 runs, Fakhar was gone. Imam and Babar played a bit well but in 56 runs, Babar returned to the dressing room. Hafeez and Imam added a bit more jointly. Imam made 53 runs and Hafeez added 46 runs.

Captain of the team stood for a while and added 40 runs. Hasan Ali and Wahab also added a few runs. But that was not enough. In 45.4 overs, team Pakistan lost all wickets and in the meantime, they scored 266 runs so far. Cummins took three wickets highest for Australia. David Warner was the player of the match for his brilliant century.
