Just a few days ago, Sri Lanka has finished their Pakistan tour. The Green Army played at their home venue after a long time. They won the ODI series against the Lions but in the T20I series, they were whitewashed. Since few months, the Pakistan coach and chief selector of PCB Misbah Ul Haq tried to take the captaincy from Sarfaraz Ahmed. Now, after the poor performance against Sri Lanka, Misbah got his chance and used it. The former Pakistani captain Misbah was not satisfied on Sarfaraz and he revealed his opinion to the PCB chairman earlier.
Misbah believed that Sarfaraz did not have the ability to lead the Pakistan team from the front. And at the end, PCB heard him. Not only the captaincy but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has removed him from the squad. Recently, team Pakistan will visit Australia and they have not included the wicket-keeper batsman in the squad.

On the other side, the top batsman of the Green Army Babar Azam has become the captain of the T20I cricket. However, the ODI skipper has not been disclosed yet but it would be the experienced all-rounded of Pakistan Mohammad Hafeez.
Sarfaraz Ahmed has played a total of 116 ODI in his professional career and scored 2301 runs. He also played 49 Test matches and 55 T20I matches so far.
