After the European nations, the newborn Coronavirus disease has attacked the Asian countries. And Pakistan is also an infected nation. Due to the Coronavirus disease COVID-19, a few matches of the 5th season of Pakistan Super League have been postponed. Now, earlier today, the new schedule for the rest matches have been leaked. Reportedly, PSL 5 will have to wait eight months.

Most of the path of the PSL 5 has finished quite successfully. Just the matches of semi-final and final are to be taken place. All of a sudden, the PSL authorities got bad news. So, they stopped the season right away. By escaping Coronavirus, PCB could not stage the game. As a result, for an unspecified period of time, the 5th episode of IPL has been postponed. But for how long?

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reveled the information earlier today. They have announced a new schedule for the knockout round of the Pakistan Super League 2020. In the next November 2020, the semi-final and final matches of the Pakistan Super League will be taken place. In the next October, the T20I World Cup is about to take place. After the tournament, within just ten days in November, the rest matches of PSL might be taken place. PCB has the plan to do it.

During the 5th season of the Pakistan Super League, the news came that a player who was playing in the PSL got infected by the COVID-19. So, on the 17th March 2020, PCB decided to postpone the tournament. In the two semi-finals, Multan Sultans is about to face Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings will play against Lahore Qalandars. The winners of the matches will move to the final of the PSL 5.

The final of the tournament was about to be staged next 18th March 2020. But the schedule did not go as planned. The players which were connected with the Pakistan Super League, their numbers are 128. They all were examined to check the condition. But no one was found who is infected by the COVID-19.

The things have been confirmed by the PCB Chief Executive Officer Wasim Khan. Through a teleconference, he stated that he wants a meeting with the franchise team officials for further discussion. There are some who have suggested announcing the Multan Sultans as the winner of the Pakistan Super League 5. Because they are holding the top position on the point table. Also, there is another choice. Before the next edition of the Pakistan Super League, the rest matches of PSL 5 can be taken place. But, PCB will try to arrange the last three matches of the PSL 5 in next November 2020.
