Real Madrid start to the season with a convincing 3-1 win over Celta Vigo

In mid-August, which is exactly today, during the inauguration of the new LaLiga season,  refreshed face of Real Madrid was to be presented. The meeting played in Celta Vigo showed that the fears are not justified yet. Real Madrid start to the season with a convincing 3-1 win over Celta Vigo.

After the FC Barcelona match on Friday, Real fans went to sleep in good spirits and before the first whistle they were still optimistic about the match played at Estadio Balaidos. Of the new players purchased in the summer two found a place on the bench. Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy watched this meeting in the Spanish capital because they excluded injuries from the game.

Gareth Bale in the initial composition caused the most extreme opinions but practically worked out the goal himself.  Karim Benzema supported by Vinicius Junior. Equally important was Casemiro, who showed off the relentless takeover of the ball in the middle zone of the ground.

The second half for Real Madrid began in the worst possible way. The late entry of Luka Modric in Denis Suarez was rewarded with a red card for Modric. The Golden Ball winner left the field just over ten minutes after resuming play.

Although, Modric did not show off but something completely different action of the partner of the runner-up world champion in the middle of the field, Toni Kroos. The German sent a phenomenal rocket kick towards Celta’s goal and Ruben Blanco could only helplessly watch the ball fly.

The final goal into Celta vigo’s net was stuck by Lucas Vazquez, who scored in ten minutes before the referee’s final whistle.

The Madrid did not present any dazzling game but it was enough for poorly controlled Celta Vigo. Real Madrid have a lot of material for analysis because they have to work much better defensively.
