Spurs boss Pochettino looking forward to the next round

Tottenham Hotspur is one of the big teams in the English Premier League and every time they fight for the Premier League title. Though the Spurs have not won the EPL title yet but they are trying. In the last season of EPL, they ended with standing on the 4th position. It seems that they have passed the last season so well. For the first time of the club’s history, Tottenham Hotspur moved to the Champions League final though they could not win because of their EPL opponent Liverpool. Already the new season of Premier League is going on and Tottenham Hotspur started with the victory. In the 3rd round of the EPL, the team Spurs was stumbled by Newcastle United. Now, Spurs boss Pochettino looking forward to the next round!

In the 2nd match, they faced the current champion of the EPL Man City. It was very hard to get the victory against the team of Guardiola. Tottenham tried well but Man City also played well. As a result, the match was drawn by a 2 – 2 goals.

Mauricio Pochettino is the former Argentine professional football player and played for the Argentina national team. He started his professional managing career in 2009 with the Spanish club Espanyol. In 2013, he moved to the Southampton as the first team manager by replacing Nigel Adkins.


In the following next season, he has been appointed as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur On 24th May 2018, the Argentine coach extended his contract with the Spurs for more five years and according to the agreement, he will stay with the Lilywhites till 2023. Gradually, the boss has improved his team’s performance and finally got a result. They could not win the UCL title in last season but they will try again.

In the meantime, a defeat against a team like Newcastle United is giving him the shock. He is looking forward to the next match in Premier League and also desperate to take his team back to the winning streak. Their 4th round opponent is Arsenal, another one of the ‘Big Six’ clubs.

Against Newcastle United, the team played quite aggressively at the home venue. The coach Mauricio Pochettino colored his team with talented players. Their formation was 4 – 2 – 3 – 1. In the whole match, Spurs gave the guest team heavy pressure.

They possessed the ball 81 per cent and took 17 shots totally. But just two of them were on the target. In the 27th minute of the game, Brazilian forward Joelinton scored the only goal and the home team fans were shocked.
