After finishing the T20I series successfully, India has started the ODI series earlier today. The ODI series consisted of three matches. Now, New Zealand has moved ahead of India by winning the first match.

Virat Kohli led the team from the front and also India presented a handsome total in front of New Zealand. But it is the day of the Black Caps. They have played some destructive innings and claimed the victory in front of India.

At the Seddon Park, Hamilton, the 1st ODI between India and New Zealand started earlier today. Tom Blundell from Black Caps and Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw from India made the ODI debut. The local team Black Caps won the toss and let India bat first.

Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal started the innings for India. They jointly scored 50 runs. The opening partnership was not good. The players are almost new. Kohli did not use his best players in the first match and wanted to examine the new players. Later, Kohli and Shreyas Iyer added more than 100 runs partnership. Kohli scored 51 runs but Shreyas Iyer scored his first century in the ODI. He scored 103 runs in 107 balls. Later, Lokesh Rahul played a destructive inning. He made 88 runs off 64 balls so far. Losing four wickets only, India scored 347 runs in 50 overs. Tim Southee took two wickets.

Later, Black Caps came to chase the score. Their openers added 85 runs. Guptill could not add much but scored only 32 runs so far. But Henry Nicholls scored 78 runs for the team. The match-winning player is Ross Taylor who added unbeaten 109 runs in 84 balls so far. Losing 6 wickets, New Zealand chased the score in 48.1 overs.
