A couple of seasons ago, Leicester City won their very first Premier League title but now since then, they went back to their previous form. They failed to come back to their champion form. But in the new season, they have become one of the most potential contenders in the Premier League and already holding the 3rd position. If the current Champions Man City will stumble in their next match and the Foxes can able to keep their form steady, then they would get another chance to win the league title once more. Earlier today, Leicester City played the 10th round of the Premier League and they have made a record. The Foxes scored 9 goals against Southampton! Can you believe that?

The ten men’s Southampton could not stand in front of Leicester City though it was the home venue of Southampton. The Foxes made the goals rain against the local team by ignoring cats and dogs rain. Based on the hat-tricks of Vardi and Ayoze Perez, the Foxes have touched the oldest record of Premier League which was made 24 years ago. The biggest victory in the Premier League!

Earlier today, the Foxes won against Southampton by a 9 – 0 goals and moved to the 2nd position on the Premier League point table though a few hours later, Man City overtook the Foxes and reclaimed their position. Earlier, the biggest winning record in the Premier League was grabbed by the Red Devils. In 1995, they won against Ipswich by a 9 – 0 goal. Now, Leicester City has stood beside them.

In the 10th minute of the game, through the goal of Chilwell, the Foxes started to goal celebration. Just seven minutes later, Tielemans made the difference double. In 19th minute, Perez scored his first goal and made the scoreline 3 – 0. Before the break, the Foxes scored five goals against Southampton and took control of the game. In the history of Premier League, as the 2nd team, Leicester City went five goals ahead in the first half. In 2010, against Burnley, Man City did the same thing. In the 2nd half, Southampton conceded four more goals. In 57th minute, Perez filled up his hat-trick and a minute later, Vardy found the net once again.

In 85th minute, through the goal of Maddinson, Leicester City made the scoreline 8 – 0 and in the additional minutes of the game, Vardy also filled up the hat-trick. He scored his 3rd goal through the penalty. Considering the last 131 years, Leicester City got their biggest victory at their away venue. And considering all the competitions, it is the biggest defeat of Southampton.
