After so many speculations, the Sri Lankan cricket team is visiting Pakistan. PCB tried to bring them since a long time and after confirming the security issue, the Lions came to visit Pakistan after a long time. But still, there are a number of top players of Sri Lanka cricket team that did not come for the dual tournament. Excluding them, the Lions whitewashed Pakistan in the T20I series!
In the T20I series, the Lions captain is Dasun Shanaka and he is quite brilliant. Under his leading, a team like Sri Lanka which is not so balanced right now whitewashed the top-ranked team in the T20I considering the ICC T20I ranking. And, it was at the home venue of Pakistan. The complete surprising thing has happened. Though if we look at the 3rd T20I, te Green Army fought hard to get at least one victory but at the end, they could not keep their temper on line but lost the track.
The captain of Pakistan cricket team is Sarfaraz Ahmed and the former cricketers of the Green Army did not want him as the captain. After the ICC World Cup 2019, there was a question raised about his fitness but at the home venue, PCB trusted him with the captaincy. And now, he has failed completely.
And that’s a 3-0 whitewash! Sri Lanka have created history by clean-sweeping world number-one ranked, Pakistan!

The tournament between Sri Lanka and Pakistan started with the ODI series. The three matches ODI series was won by the home team Pakistan. After cancelling the first match due to the rain, the Green Army won the rest two games and confirmed the series. This time, the Lions took the proper revenge on them.
Earlier today, at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore the 3rd and last T20I took place between these two teams. The Lions confirmed the series by winning the first two matches but they wanted to whitewash Pakistan. On the other side, the Shaheens wanted to avoid the whitewash at the home venue. Earlier the match, the Lions won the toss and decided to bat first.
