Umar Akmal got the offer for spot-fixing and did not inform the authority. So, ICC and PCB punished him. He has been banned from all kinds of cricket for three years. But still, Umar Akmal does not ready to seek an apology. The professional Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal is chaotic and also arrogant. His brother Kamran told him to learn from the great players but he is still following his own way.
Kamran Akmal is a top-rated wicket-keeper in the Pakistan national cricket team but it seems that he has come to the end of his professional career. There was a chance for the Akmal brothers to get into the Pakistan squad. And his younger brother also joined there but he failed to secure his place. Yes, we are talking about Umar Akmal.
Umar Akmal is a controversial character it seems. He had been offered for match-fixing and spot-fixing but failed to inform the authority. Besides, he did not support the ICC and Pakistan Cricket Board’s anti-corruption department. So, he has been punished hard. For the next three years, the batsman cannot get connected with any kind of cricket competition. It is a very big punishment. But why PCB has done that to him? Still, the occasional wicketkeeper Umar does not understand his fault clearly.
The ban on Umar Akmal has been confirmed and will last until 19th February 2023.
The chairman of the disciplinary committee said that Akmal didn’t co-operate and did not show any remorse for his actions. He wasn’t ready to apologize for not reporting corrupt approaches. pic.twitter.com/u9IQflaSl0

For the two different incidents, Umar Akmal has been punished for three years. Just a few months ago, the same incident has given the shock to the cricket world. The Tigers all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been punished for two years. Yes, the former skipper of Bangladesh national team Shakib’s one-year punishment has been postponed. Because he helped the ICC and BCB anti-corruption unit. So, he can return to the ground just after one year. There are a number of examples still present. The players got punished several times for hiding the information. But in the case of Umar Akmal, there is no option to reduce the punishment.

Cricinfo revealed that when PCB charged Umar Akmal, the young Pakistani batsman accepted that he has been contacted twice times totally for match-fixing and spot-fixing. To the anti-corruption unit, he has accepted that. But he demanded that there was nothing happened. So, he did not inform the authorities.
The middle brother of Akmal also claimed that in a dinner part at Lahore, he met with an unknown face but Umar left the place. However, PCB did not take the logic. And, the 29 years old star failed to take the chance of making an apology.
