Can you just believe it? Yes, team, India faced the first defeat in the ODI series against Australia by ten wickets. Warner and Finch centuries lead Australia’s 10 wickets win against India.

India just finished a T20I series against Sri Lanka and won the series quite easily. The Lions could not make any challenge in front of the local team. Now, BCCI has arranged a dual series and invited the superpower team Australia at their venue. The team Australia is traveling India right now and the purpose is to play a three-match ODI series against the local team. Earlier today, the first match took place at the Wankhede Stadium and the most shocking news for India cricket team lovers as Australia beat India by 10 wickets!


At the venue of Mumbai, India team lost all wickets in 49.1 overs. Their top scorer is Shikhar Dhawan who added 74 runs highest. It was a day/ night match. Marnus Labuschagne made his ODI debut for Australia in the match.

The guest team Australia won the toss and let the local team bat first. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan started the game for India but in 13 runs the top player Rohit was gone. He only scored 10 runs. By facing such a critical situation, Dhawan and Lokesh took the lead of India and made a partnership that added almost 120 runs to the scoreboard. Dhawan added 74 runs and Lokesh Rahul scored 47 runs so far. After the departure of Lokesh Rahul, the captain of the team Kohli came by but added only 16 runs. 

Zampa took the most important wicket Kohli in the match. Since then, India started to lose wickets within a regular gap. Rishabh Pant added 28 runs and Ravindra Jadeja added 25 runs for the team. Losing all wickets in 49.1 overs, India scored a total of 255 runs so far. Mitchell Starc took three wickets for Australia. Pat Cummins and Kane Richardson took two wickets each as well.


Later, Australia came to chase the score. Their openers were David Warner and captain Aaron Finch. They jointly led the team to the victory. Both players scored a century each in the game. In just 37.4 overs, Australia chased the score losing no wickets. Warner added the highest 128 runs and Aaron Finch added 110 runs so far. So, now Australia has taken the lead against India. The 2nd match will take place on 17th January 2020.
