Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spent time with Arsenal’s Emerick Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund, expressing his admiration for the striker at the time. Former Arsenal player Paul Merson has questioned why Jurgen Klopp has never moved for Aubameyang once he was satisfied with his time at Dortmund.
The Arsenal star has been linked with a move away from Emirates during the transfer window with his contract expiring at the end of next season. Barcelona and Manchester United were among the clubs linked with Aubameyang but Merson questioned why Klopp didn’t move to Aubameyang.
Sky Sports expert Paul Merson, speaking on Arsenal’s Aubameyagn contract situation, said: “Everybody knows Aubameyang’s contract status but there aren’t many England clubs looking to fill that void.”

“I’m sure Manchester City will put almost all of their eggs on Gabriel Jesus when Sergio Aguero finally leaves, so I don’t expect them to have much interest,” Merson added.
Paul Merson on why Klopp didn’t move to Aubameyang Klopp doesn’t know about him, he knows for sure.
To be honest, they have natural strikers like Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino who work together three times but you need someone who can score 25 goals. Merson added.

Firmino is a great player but sometimes he hasn’t scored for a long time. You still need someone to give you some goals and that can be done by Aubameyang.
The former Arsenal player added that Liverpool needed to continue to improve and said, Winning trophies is difficult but staying consistent is harder.
