The Tri-Nation series is going on and this time, Bangladesh Cricket Board or BCB has organised the competition. The Tri-Nation series consists of T20I competition where a total of three teams have taken part. Bangladesh is the host team and the other two teams are Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. Earlier, team Afghan has come to visit the country for only one Test. And, the guest team has successfully won the only Test against Bangladesh. Now, they are playing the Tri-Nation series and in their inaugural match, Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe. And team Zimbabwe faced 2nd defeat in the Tri-Nation series!

In the last 13th September 2019, the Tri-Nation tournament started and in the inaugural match of the competition, the host team Bangladesh played against Zimbabwe. The guest team fought well but based on the performance of the Tigers stars Afif, they did not find any victory. Now, in the 2nd match, Zimbabwe faced Afghanistan and it seems, the Afghan team found an easy victory.
Now, Bangladesh and Afghanistan won one match each in the tournament and grabbed the top two positions on the point table.
Earlier today, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka the day/ night match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe took place and Afghan team won by 28 runs finally. Zimbabwe won the toss and let the Afghan team bat first. Rahmanullah Gurbaz made his T20I debut in the match for Afghanistan.

The debut player along with Zazari opened the innings for Afghan team and jointly added 57 runs. It was a good start against Zimbabwe but within just three runs, Afghanistan lost two wickets and both of them were openers. The new player scored 43 runs. Later, Najibullah and Nabi made a long partnership that led the team to a good total. Zadran added the highest 69 runs and Nabi scored 38 runs so far. In 20 overs, Afghanistan scored 197 runs losing five wickets. Chatara and Williams took two wickets for Zimbabwe.
In return, Zimbabwe tried to make a good start but in 25 runs, opener and captain of the team, Masakadza was gone scoring 3 runs. Most of the players of Zimbabwe got runs but that was not enough to bring the victory. Taylor added 27 runs but the top scorer was Chakabva who remained not out scoring 42 runs so far. They also played complete 20 overs and scored 169 runs in exchange for 7 wickets.
