After the wave of buying, it’s time for a small sale. Omer Toprak will no longer be a player of Borussia Dortmund. The Turkish defender moved to Werder Bremen on a loan basis.

Omer Toprak officially says goodbye to Signal Iduna Park. The 30-year-old defender will spend the next 12 months in Werder Bremen which he came on a loan. No other development could have been expected. The Turkish defender has been pushed out of Dortmund for a long time, and the previous season in its performance was not the best.
After Mats Hummels returned to Dortmund, his chances of regular play dropped to a minimum and Toprak had no option but to start looking for a new club. This ultimately became Werder Bremen which ended the last Bundesliga season in a satisfactory eighth position.

The staff of Borussia Dortmund is slowly becoming closed. The club no longer anticipates any transfer moves and the players who joined the team of the German runner-up this summer are expected to help reach the summit.
The first step has already been achieved and Borussia began the new season in Germany with a triumph in the German Super Cup where they beat Bayern Munich 2-0.
