Babar Azam is better than Virat Kohli based on current form - Adil Rashid

Babar Azam is better than Virat Kohli based on current form

Who is the better batsman? The Indian national cricket team skipper Virat Kohli or the Pakistani batsman Babar Azam? Now, the English leg spinner Adil Rashid has picked one between them. To him, Babar Azam is better than Virat Kohli. Babar Azam’s current form is impressing many cricket lovers. As a result, from the last few months, the most amazing debate has started in the cricket world.

No need to be surprised. We the cricket fans completely aware of the achievement of Virat Kohli. But considering the above statement or selection, the English World Cup-winning player has considered the current form.

From the last decade, the achievement of Virat Kohli has made him the best batsman in the cricket world. India’s arch-rival Pakistan has no batsman like Kohli but the former Pakistani legends thought that their top batsman Babar Azam’s name should come to the front page. At different times the Pakistani greats like Rameez Raja, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar have already added the name of Babar Azam when the topic of the great batsmen came up.

This time, their opinion has just got supported. They might be happy to hear that no Pakistani has made the statement but it has come from the last World Cup-winning team’s player.

To the English wrist-spinner Adil Rashid, if the current form is considered, Babar Azam is surely ahead of the Indian cricket team skipper. Yes, he will support the Green Army batsman no doubt. Yes, he has also added something.

The fans should aware that the English star Rashid is only considering the current form. He is selecting Babar Azam just because he is in a better form than Kohli. Yes, it is true that both of them are world-class batsmen.

But the Green Army batsman Babar made fun of this comparison just a few days ago. Babar Azam has been selected as the Pakistani ODI captain by the PCB and to him, the achievements of Virat Kohli are much greater than him as the batsman. So, the comparison is nothing.

With an average of 53.62 runs, Virat scored 7240 runs in Test cricket. He has made 27 centuries already. In the ODI, his average is much better. By playing 248 matches, his average is almost 60 and made 43 centuries already. On the other hand, Babar Azam’s ODI average is 54.17 where he played only 74 ODI matches. He has made a total of 11 centuries so far.
