Kylian Mbappe will be out of action for three weeks

After a long break, PSG players returned to the ground. PSG played the final match for the French Cup but the result fell by the wayside. Despite the victory, everyone was worried about Kylian Mbappe’s health. Mbappe will be out of action for three weeks and probably miss UCL quarter-final against Atalanta. The young Frenchman suffered a lot after the clash with Loik Perrin and today we got to know how long the star of the French champion will be out of action.

However, the French national team player left the field very early before the end of the first half. Loic Perrin’s input was unnecessary, pointless and you can actually look for more adjectives to describe the event and it will not exhaust the range of words.

Saint-Etienne defenders rightly received a red card and in such an unpleasant way ended his professional football career. The French champion finally reached for the double crown in the domestic backyard but everyone was totally focused on how Kylian Mbappe was feeling.

Fortunately, Mbappe returned to the stadium and celebrated his success with the rest of the team. The only disturbing picture was that he appeared with crutches in his hands.

PSG confirmed that his player suffers from an ankle injury and will be out of the game for three weeks. What does this mean for the French ahead of the upcoming matches of the resumed Champions League? There are just over two weeks left to the quarter-final match against Atalanta but we already know that the French will be missing in the duel which will be played on a neutral game in Lisbon.

However, PSG is still playing the League Cup game but this competition usually does not interest anyone. The most important thing for Thomas Tuchel is that Kylian Mbappe should be ready for the semi-final of this year’s Champions League. Unless PSG will deal with Atalanta which in recent years has been a real scoring machine.

On the other hand, another obvious thing is that in the current circumstances, PSG’s chances of a final victory in the Champions League have dropped significantly. Recovery from injury is one thing and getting back to the right disposition is a completely different thing.

More worst perspective is that the only offensive players ready to play are the three South American strikers - the Brazilian Neymar and the Argentines Mauro Icardi and Angel Di Maria.

In the meantime, PSG managed to say goodbye to Edinson Cavani who had run out of contract and did not want to extend the contract. There is still Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the squad but the Cameroonian is an incomprehensible transfer move from Paris Saint-Germain from the start and also parting with the French capital.
