Alonso’s goal secured the 5th victory of the Blues in EPL

Chelsea which is one of the most popular English clubs is passing a great time. After sacking their previous boss Antonio Conte, Lampard has been assigned as their new manager. Under his guidance, Chelsea is doing good in the new season of the Premier League. After the international break, the Premier League season has started again and Chelsea has played their 9th round earlier today. And, according to the match report, Alonso’s goal secured the 5th victory of the Blues in EPL!

In the last season, the Blues finished the EPL season standing on the 3rd position but the season earlier, they could not make it among the top four. So, they played the UEFA Europa League in the last season instead of the Champions League. They won the last season Europa League title by defeating Arsenal in the final. Though they are far behind than the top point holder team Liverpool and generally, they would not get the chance of achieving the top position but they can manage a position out of the top four.

Just a couple of hours ago, Chelsea played their 9th round in the Premier League and this time they faced Newcastle United. The match took place at the Stamford Bridge, the home venue of the Blues. The apprentices of Lampard won by a 1 – 0 goal against the guest team and secured their 3rd consecutive victory in the Premier League. If we consider their last five matches, Chelsea won all five of them and it is quite impressive.

The match was won by the Blues scoring 1 – 0 goal at the Stamford Bridge and they dominated all three divisions. But in the first half, they could not create any significant chance. After the first half, the local team started to make attack and attack but every time, Newcastle United’s goalkeeper was the main obstacle. Abraham who is passing the wonderful time could lead the Blues ahead in the 56th minute of the game but his head was stopped by the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, the waiting for the goal was over.
