Chennai Super Kings has moved to the IPL final

Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful franchise teams in the Indian Premier League and after two years old suspensions, they returned to the tournament in the last season. And in their returning season, they won their 3rd IPL title. Under the leading of MS Dhoni, the team is doing very good in the IPL. And in the 12th episode, Chennai Super Kings has moved to the IPL final once again.

If we consider the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League, we must say the name of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Both teams won three IPL titles each. And in the 12th season of IPL, both franchise teams finished the group stage by holding the top two positions. Now, the final match of the tournament is ahead and most surprising fact is that both Mumbai Indians and CSK have reached the final.

They are going to play against each other in the final. Both teams played the first qualifier round where MI won the match and reached the final directly. Later, CSK had to play the 2nd qualifier against the winner of the eliminator round.

In the last 10th May 2019, the 2nd qualifier round between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings took place at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium. It was a day/night competition where Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first. So, Delhi Capitals came to bat and Shaw-Dhawan opened the innings for them.

Openers could not play well where Dhawan added 18 runs but Shaw scored only 5 runs so far. Most of the batsmen failed in the match only but a couple of players added a few numbers. Pant added the highest 38 runs and Munro scored 27 runs for the team Delhi Capitals. They played 20 overs completely and scored 147 runs in exchange for 9 wickets. Chahar, Harbhajan, Jadeja and Bravo took two wickets each for the team CSK.

Later, Du Plessis and Watson started to chase the score for Chennai Super Kings. Openers added 81 runs when Du Plessis was gone with 50 runs. He faced 39 balls. The other opener Watson also added 50 runs and he faced 32 balls so far. The rest work was done by Rayudu and Bravo. In 19 overs, team Chennai Super Kings reached the destination by losing 4 wickets only. Du Plessis got the player of the match award.
