Liverpool moved to the League Cup quarter-final

Another season of League Cup is going on and by defeating Arsenal at the Anfield, Liverpool moved to the League Cup quarter-final! Yes, the match which consisted of 19 goals totally, the Reds managed an incredible victory.  And for the 2nd time, the Gunners scored five goals at the venue of the Reds. If we describe the match as ‘Impossible’, it will not be enough or appropriate for the last match between Liverpool and Arsenal. Two times, the Gunners went two goals ahead but could not keep the distance. The Reds turned around amazingly and finished the selected time as the draw. The match which was changed the result a number of times finally finished with the tie-breaker. The luck was on the side of the local team. The team of Jurgen Klopp successfully kept their nerve strong and moved to the quarter-final of the League Cup.

At the venue of the Reds, the selected time ended with a 5 – 5 goals draw. Through the penalty shootout, Liverpool managed the victory by a 5 – 4 goals so far. Both teams did not use their best eleven and the irregular players took their place in the match. They were quite young and lack of experience.

In the 9th minute of the 2nd half, by using a major mistake of Milner, the Gunners scored the 4th goal. In 58th minute, from the 22nd yards, the 3rd goal of the Reds was scored by Oxlade-Chamberlain. In 62nd minute, the scoreline became 4 – 4 through the goal of the Belgian forward Origi.

In the 70th minute, Arsenal once again went ahead. The 5th goal was scored by Willock. At the end of the game, through the goal of Origi, the Champions League winner Liverpool has been saved. However, the hero of the Reds is Kelleher who stopped the shot of Dani Ceballos and secured the victory. In the other match of the round of the last sixteen, Manchester United beat Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge by a 2 – 1 goal.
