If we consider the team of Edmonton Royals, they have a couple of top-rated players like Du Plessis, Mohammad Hafeez, Ben Cutting and so on. So, as usual, they started dominantly but in just 1 run, opener Berrington was gone. Later, in the 2nd wicket partnership between captain Du Plessis and Dhaliwal, they added 78 runs. The 2nd wicket was Du Plessis who scored 55 runs in just 20 balls. He played destructive innings. He made eight boundaries and three over boundaries. But the rest players could not do their job well and in 19.3 overs, they lost all wickets scoring 153 runs.

When Du Plessis was gone, he led the team to a good total. In 6.4 overs, his team scored 79 runs which were quite impressive. If the rest players could do well, the score could be more than 200. Dutta and Heyliger took three wickets each for the team Montreal Tigers.

Later, Montreal Tigers came to chase the score and in 16 runs lost their opener Gunasekera. The team has also a couple of top-rated players but not as famous as their opponent. But it seems that they did their job well. Opener Coetzer scored 62 runs highest. The team had to play 19.4 overs and scored 154 runs in exchange for six wickets. Kuggeleijn and Heyliger led the team to the victory finally.
