Five days test match has ended just earlier today which took place between India and South Africa. After presenting a big target in front of Proteas, India almost secured the match. At least, they had no risk of losing the match. The thing remains the same. South Africa cricket team could not handle the pressure but Shami’s five wickets secured India’s first Test victory against Proteas.
South Africa cricket team is currently visiting India where they have a long schedule against the superpower cricket team. Team Proteas started the competition with the T20I series which consisted of three matches. Due to rain, the first match was abandoned and the series ended with a 1 - 1. Now, they are playing the Test series. It is undoubtedly true that India is one of the three teams that are always favourite in the Test series and wehn it takes place at their home venue, we can understand what can be happened. So, The cricket World once again witnessed the batting power of India at their home venue.

By winning the toss in the first Test, Men in Blue came to bat at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vishakhapatnam. Proteas bowlers could not take all wickets of India but losing seven wickets, the home team scored 502 runs in 136 overs. Then they declared the innings. The openers of the team added 317 runs! Can you just imagine! Mayank Agarwal and Rohit Sharma jointly added the score. Mayank Agarwal added the highest 215 runs and Rohit scored 176 runs.

The Proteas first innings was not that bad we can say that. Within 63 runs, the guest team lost four wickets but at the end of the crease, Dean Elgar dominated India’s bowlers. He led the team near India’s score. The player added the highest 160 runs and De Kock added 111 runs so far. Scoring 431 runs, South Africa lost all wickets. They were just 71 runs behind than India. Ravichandran Ashwin took the highest seven wickets for India!
Later, India came to bat for the 2nd innings and based on the 2nd century of Rohit Sharma, India scored 323 runs by losing four wickets. Rohit scored 127 runs in the 2nd innings. India declared the 2nd innings. Now, Proteas had a clear target and they were chasing 394 runs. But, this time, Mohammed Shami was the hero. He destroyed the Proteas innings when the just scored 191 runs in 63.5 overs.
