They hope to see the Indian Premier League 2020 has ended this year. No, the official announcement has not come but the future of the IPL 2020 has been decided! Yes, it is for Coronavirus. Due to the most deadly and infective virus, the 13th episode of the Indian Premier League will not take place this year. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not made any declaration for themselves but waiting to hear the decision of the Indian government.

The Ministry of Sports and the Government will release the new update about the foreign Visa. Then, the official announcement will be revealed. Besides, in the next 15th April, the ‘Lockdown’ will be off officially in India. Just after that the BCCI will arrange a meeting with the franchise teams of the IPL and get a final decision.

To reduce the infection of the Coronavirus, the Indian government has canceled all foreign visas and it will valid till the next 15th April. The Indian government will open the facility once again from the 15th of April 2020, it is not certain. But more than a thousand peoples in India have been infected by the Coronavirus already. So, most of the peoples do not want to see the Indian Premier League to be taken place this year. As a result, the IPL which will about to take place next year will be changed a little. The rules, yes. The IPL 2021 was about to take part in the new style with the new auctions. But now, it will remain the same. The same team will play the next season’s IPL.

An official who is still connected with the IPL organizing stated to the Indian Express that IPL 13 will not be executed in the year. It will be staged next year. They all know the situation of the country right now. So, no one will agree to take the risk. At the stadium, there is no chance to maintain social distance. So, when they will receive the guidance from the government, they will inform the franchise teams that IPL in the year 2020 will take place in the next year 2021.

In the last 14th March, BCCI sat with the franchise teams in IPL. Then the board president Sourav Ganguly hoped to execute the IPL 2020. It would be the small version of the Indian Premier League. But the infection of Coronavirus is increasing in India. So, BCCI wants to cancel the IPL 2020.
