The Irish cricket team is currently visiting the Caribbean area and they are scheduled to play two series against the local team West Indies. Before making the official series, they have played a 50 overs warm-up match against the West Indies President’s XI but could not manage the victory but faced the defeat by three wickets! Yes, it was a quite surprising fact for them to face the defeat against President’s XI. Now, they started the three matches OPDI series against the Windies. Now, reportedly, the two matches have finished successfully and West Indies won the ODI series against Ireland!
If we consider the ODI ranking right now, team West Indies is holding the 7th position where they are ahead of Pakistan and Bangladesh. In that case, considering the ICC ranking, Ireland is on the 12th position. So, generally, Ireland is not the good match for West Indies and at the home venue, West Indies are showing the dominating performance against the Irish team in the ODI series now.

However, earlier today at the same venue of Bridgetown, these teams faced each other for the 2nd ODI. Once again, the toss luck favoured Ireland. They decided to bat first. This time, they played well. Paul Stirling and Gareth Delany started the innings for the Irish team. In 25 runs, Gareth returned to the dressing room. And 26 runs later, the captain of the team Andrew was gone as well. But at the end of the crease, opener Paul stood strong and added the highest 63 runs. Besides, Kevin O Brian added 31 runs and Simi Singh added 34 runs so far. Losing 9 wickets, Ireland scored 237 runs in 50 overs. Alzarri Joseph took four wickets and Sheldon Cottrell took three wickets for West Indies.
Later, West Indies came to chase the target and Ireland fought well and tried to stop the local team. The team West Indies had to play 49.5 overs to reach the target. They also lost 9 wickets and grabbed the victory. Now, in the next 12th January 2020, the 3rd match of the series will be executed.
