In recent times, the current ICC World Cup champion England is visiting New Zealand. Yes, two finalists of the last World Cup are in a tight schedule. The English team is going to play five matches T20I series against the home team New Zealand and later, they will also play a Test series. The tournament has already started with the T20I series and earlier today, the first T20I between these two top-rated teams took place. The Black Caps were defeated against England by 7 wickets at the Hagley Oval.

The T20I series consists of five matches and England is leading the series now. Though there are still four matches in hand and to secure the series, the guest team England needs two more victories. The next match of the series will take place on 3rd November 2019 at the Westpac Stadium.

In the stadium of Christchurch, the inaugural T20I between New Zealand and England took place earlier today. The guest team England won the toss and let the Black Caps bat first. The English team was full of surprises. Three players made their T20I debut against New Zealand. They are Sam Curran, Pat Brown and Lewis Gregory.

Martin Guptill and Colin Munro started the innings for the home team New Zealand. In just 6 runs, Guptill was gone by the debut player San Curran. In 39 runs, the 2nd wicket Munro returned to the dressing room as well. The wicketkeeper Tim and Grandhomme tried to make a partnership but scoring just 19 runs Grandhomme was gone as well.


The top orders of the local team played quite good. Ross Taylor added 44 runs highest, Daryl Mitchell scored 30 runs and Tim added another 32 runs so far. By losing 5 wickets, team New Zealand scored 153 runs in 20 overs. Chris Jordan took two wickets for England in the match.

Later, the guest team England came to chase the score. Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan made a good start and jointly added 37 runs. Malan gone first scoring 11 runs only. But the rest players did their jobs well. By losing three wickets, England chased the score in 18.3 overs. The captain of the team Eoin Morgan and Sam Billings finished the game. James Vince was the highest scorer for England. He added 59 runs in 38 balls so far.
